Residents' Group and Community Hub
Welcome to Wellington Place and Residents' Group Community Hub
To the north-west of Market Harborough, Leicestershire, there is a rapidly growing community complete with a country park and in walking distance of the Grand Union Canal and the town centre. We are really proud to call this community our home.
OUR AIMS
Wellington Place Residents' Group and Community Hub is an independent and non-political group set up to:

Build and sustain the Wellington Place community through the development of communication lines, facilities and activities, in order to help residents connect with one another and to feel they are being supported.

Represent and support the interests of the residents of the area and put forward the collective view of the area following active consultation with residents.

Work proactively to support ongoing dialogue between residents and Harborough District Council, Leicestershire County Council, their partners and other agencies/organisations (such as developers or management agencies) to improve the quality of life for all residents of Wellington Place.
Our
Story
How we came about...
During 2024 the Rural Community Council (Leicestershire and Rutland) gathered the views of people moving onto the new build developments to the north-west of Market Harborough through a series of community engagement activities.
Following these activities, a group of volunteers got together to put the ideas into practice and the Wellington Place Residents' Group and Community Hub was born! We are a small group who are passionate about building a community and providing an online hub where we can share community events and information with the residents of Wellington Place.
During 2025 we are focusing on building the online Community Hub and establishing a more formal Residents' Group as our community grows. We have a constitution we are working to (which we welcome any comments on) and the current Chair, Secretary and other group members are volunteers to get things off to a flying start. Towards the end of 2025 we will be looking to ask our community on Wellington Place to formally adopt the constitution for the Residents' Group and elect its members.
